When it comes to cheer, the Central Marin Chargers have what it takes. SportsDashboards previously saluted the Chargers’ Cheer team for winning a national title in 2009.
Now it’s 2011 and they’re baaaack!
Actually it’s the 2010 edition of the Chargers’ Jr. Midget Cheer team that won the JAMZ national title.
Aleshia Page has led the Central Marin Cheer contingent for the past several years. Her innovative routines, so adeptly performed by her girls, are eye-popping in their complexity and score high with the judges. Even the best routines need the polish and discipline of the performers and Central Marin has been blessed with a bevy of athletic young girls who have prospered performing under Page’s direction.
The accompanying video is over 8 minutes. The first couple of minutes capture the Chargers’ winning routine. If you’re only interested in the Chargers, skip to the 5:30 mark in the video and see everyone’s reaction when Central Marin is declared the national champion. Sheer joy.
