I honestly can not spare the time to recount the article; if you only knew. So, please just click on the link above to read the “backstory”.

Hello Mr. Carlston, Sir,

Somehow the actions of the Wilson Intermediate Football League, in banning Demias Jimerson, or Madre Hill, or anyone who meets the requirements to play in the league, from scoring, seems imminently unfair, in my opinion. I find myself wondering what affect, psychologically, Wilson Football League’s actions may have on Demias Jimerson.

I can not escape the conclusion that the league’s actions may, literally, prevent Jimerson from developing even further, athletically. It seems, to me, that such outstanding performance, athletic or otherwise, should not be penalized; it should, rather, be encouraged. If Demias were similarly out performing his peers, in math or science class, would they create an overt “bylaw” mandating that Mr. Jimerson, and Mr. Jimerson only, not answer 40% of the questions on a test, if he scored far higher, on his three previous tests, than his peers?

Think about it. What if Demias Jimerson, Madre Hill, and others like them, represent a “step up” in human performance, from their peers. What if that is why they are that good. It seems, to me, far better to help Jimerson’s peers take the “step up” to the “next level”, at which Jimerson is operating(performing), rather than demand that Jimerson “step down” to a lower level of performance. And even if some of them do not succeed at reaching the performance level of Demias, they will, nevertheless, almost certainly, end up performing far better than they would, otherwise, have.

Making a rule to hold Demias back is, in my opinion, very much, like finding a genius, one that appears only rarely, and, then, proceeding to dumb him or her down, rather than encouraging him or her to even greater heights.

It seems, to me, that the Wilson Intermediate Football League should be working to improve Demias Jimerson’s peers’ performance on the football field, not holding back, stunting, and penalizing Demias. But, then, I always thought grading on a curve was the height of unfairness as well.

First the renegades are 4-0 d1, 38-12, and your coaching staff showed poor sportsmen ship,, they know what they did,,show some class,,d2"

YEAH guys - get the score right! the AP reporters may look more favorably on that extra TD u ran in with 1st string QB! gET THAT SCORE RIGHT!! Novato coaches did not shake hands, they knew EXACTLY what they did and STAND behind that now, and our parents saw what a negative coaching staff looks like. The boys shook hands, but the coaches did not feel it was appropriate to say good game after running up the score for no reason, other than to make a statement...(to who??? nobody really cares!) Jumping up and down and hooting and hollering when kids are injured. So thanks for showing us parents why we love our Novato coaches so much - they were PISSED and rightfully so. Both of the Novato coaches played D1 football and realize the goal of youth football.

YOUR POST SHOWS YOUR IGNORANCE - who would ever want to correct the score of a blowout game??? LOL get a life.

the poor sportsmanship was clearly on the part of the mighty D1 OG jr. midget coach. onside kicks up 4 TD's -- heard the coach wanted to make a statement against the D2 2010 champs -- statement made coach. The pollsters will move you guys up for the BCS rankings!! actually what OG did on sunday was irreprehensible, and Novato coaches chose not to shake hands and congratulate the staff for their big super bowl win. Get a life!!! Watch those Novato Jr. Mids beat up a similary skilled opponent, and you will see class. Big hits away from the ball, three boys sent to local hospital that day. probably the worst sportsmaship we've seen.

The Norcal website reports the score as 30-12. However, the website discourages corrections to the scores unless the difference is 14 points or greater, so it is perfectly possible that 38-12 is accurate. But officially, it will always be 30-12.

There is never room for poor, or even questionably poor, sportsmanship in youth sports. I hope you are misconstruing what you observed.ninedn

I made my plans for the day already when I saw the other day that the Little League World Series championship was changed to 12 pm from it's original scheduled time at 3pm due to Hurricane Irene. I was looking forward to watching it at 12, than, all of a sudden, I just saw sports center about 20 minutes ago, and the lady came on and said the game was changed back to 3pm, it's original time. Why did they switch it back in such short notice? The kids are probably already arriving at the field trying to warm up because they think it's at 12. It's ridiculous because I'm sure viewers around the country had planned their day, so they can watch it at 12pm. If you are gonna switch something, don't switch the time and switch it again. That might affect the hours for the families in Japan who were ready to watch their kids at 12.

Did you see the home plate umpires strikezone on Saturday during the semifinals? For God's sake he was calling strikes a good 18" to 24" off the outside of the plate!!! I don't care if he called it both ways or not he ruined the game! Obviously he was paid by the game and not by the hour! Repeatedly ABC sports showed the pitches he was calling strikes waaay outside. . . sometimes 2 feet or more!! This guy need to be fired and get off his high horse. These umpires now know they are on TV and seem to feel they need to be the centerpoint of the game! There is no excuse for this crazy strike zone! It made for a boring game as the players simply stood there and struck out or whiffed as they couldn't reach these so called strikes that were two feet outside.

In 1982, Bird made 21.2% of his 3-pointers, while the league leader, Campy Russell, made 43.9 %. 21.2% isn't Dennis Rodman territory, but it also isn't very good.

I have to agree with Ashley. The game was really competitive but super fun at the same time. I really enjoyed playing with those rules because it made the game way more interesting. I got some more experience playing catcher, by girls stealing home and two or three bases at a time. I also liked having Ray show me what pitches to call. Even though we didn't win, I had fun and appreciate Ray, Steve, and Natu's time working with us. Thanks!!!!! :)

Congratulations to all who competed: just have fun and learn something with each game.
Congrats especially to my brother in law and niece; you know who you are!

This is a really great review. It is actually true, some coaches just write reviews and make their daughters team sound very good. Our teams were both very equal and in both of our games we came very close. Although, I have to say that in my perspective the second game was better because you can really tell how equal the teams are by the score. Even though we lost it was a very good and competitive game. Thanks!!!

heya impressive little site you have there :) I apply the same exact template on my website yet somehow for whatever factor it appears to reload earlier on your blog although your own is carrying a bit more content. Are you currently applying any plug ins or widgets that speed it up? If you might be able to display the titles so I could use them on my personal blog so twilight eclipse followers could watch twilight eclipse online trailers and clips faster I'd personally always be grateful - many thanks in advance :)

i'm constantly bumping all around the web almost all of the time hence I tend to browse significantly, which unfortunately is not usually a beneficial factor as nearly all of the web pages I look at are made up of useless rubbish copied from some other internet sites a thousand times, but I gotta give you props this site is genuinely enjoyable and also boasts a lot of authentic content, therefore many thanks for removing the trend of exactly replicating other peoples' sites, if you ever want to play a few hands of myspace poker together just email me - you have my email :)
